About My Clients
In addition to my specialties, I enjoy working with grief/loss (including pets), spirituality, creatives/musicians, and empaths or highly sensitive people (HSP's). I also have passion for those working in helping professions struggling with compassion fatigue (including but not limited to mental health workers, first responders, and those involved in animal rescue/rehab.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master in Social Work degree from Walla Walla University (Missoula campus) in 2019, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both Colorado and Montana. My social work experience ranges across many settings including adolescent residential treatment, Veteran’s and mental health treatment court, substance abuse treatment, and domestic violence. I have also worked as an acute care hospital social worker in Denver. As a holistic therapist, I believe each client is interconnected through mind, body, and spirit; and integrate various treatment modalities into therapy including mindfulness, CBT, DBT, Attachment Theory, and Inner Child Work/Parts Work. I am trained in levels 1&2 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which is a very effective and evidence-based treatment for symptoms of trauma. I believe we each have inner strength to overcome life challenges and childhood wounds. I look forward to guiding you on this path of healing.
