About My Clients
Are you the one everyone depends on while quietly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or exhausted yourself? High-functioning on the outside but struggling on the inside? Spend so much time caregiving you have lost touch with your own needs? I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, complex trauma, childhood emotional neglect, difficult family dynamics, caregiving, chronic illness, and major life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I’m a counselor and art therapist. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you've been carrying, and reconnect with yourself. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I draw from trauma-informed care, psychodynamic exploration, CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness, and expressive arts therapy depending on what feels most helpful for you. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel understood; not judged, rushed, or told who you should be. Art therapy interventions are optional, never required, and can be really helpful for when we don't have the right words to address what we are feeling. No talent is ever needed, just an open mind and heart.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are more than their diagnoses, symptoms, roles, or the things they have been through. I value authenticity, compassion, curiosity, creativity, and the freedom to figure out who you are without having to fit someone else's expectations. I'm especially passionate about helping people reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been pushed aside while they were surviving, caring for others, meeting expectations, or navigating difficult circumstances. I believe there is room in therapy for both meaningful reflection and a little humor, and that healing doesn't always have to look serious. Outside of therapy, creativity is a big part of my life. I love art, crafting, the beach, and exploring practices that support mindfulness and intentional living. These interests naturally influence the way I see therapy: as a space for curiosity, experimentation, and discovering what helps you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.
