About My Clients
My areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stressors, substance use/addiction, life transitions, self-esteem, grief, and general well-being. My clients often view therapy as a tool that allows them to be the best version of themselves. I emphasize a client being the driving force of therapy with guidance from myself as a therapist.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in outpatient treatment settings as well as college counseling. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills with a psychodynamic perspective. This means we work together to identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors (CBT), develop emotional regulation and coping strategies (DBT), and explore deeper, underlying emotional conflicts and patterns from your past (psychodynamic perspective). In session, you can anticipate a hybrid of process talk therapy and skill development based on your needs.
