About My Clients
Where are you going? Do you feel stuck in your relationship, wondering what to do next, or mired in low self-esteem? I believe that starting therapy and examining your journey is a brave step in making your life the one you deserve. You are the only one who can enact change in your life - but a therapist to walk with you, support you, and guide you, can help. I enjoy working with people who are experiencing life transitions, relationship issues, and more.
My Background and Approach
I have been a Social Worker for thirteen years, working in a variety of settings - including with the chronically and critically ill, and with those struggling with alcohol use disorder. I've also worked in emergency psychiatric settings where I met people who were perhaps having the worst day of their life - people who have addictions, psychosis, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and suicidality. In my private practice, I tend to connect to people who have a history of anxiety, codependency, and low self-esteem or those who need guidance related to life transitions or relationship issues. I work to identify patterns and limiting beliefs so that you feel you have more choices in your life, and more compassion towards yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all people. I believe acceptance is greater than tolerance. I am an LGBTQ ally. I believe black lives matter. I volunteer weekly for an organization that helps people and their pets who are escaping domestic violence.
