About My Clients
Every family is different and every situation is unique - I seek to support families while I deliver compassionate and personalized care. I utilize an evidence-based approach that is collaborative, individualized, and responsive to each person. My clients are parents looking for new skills and support to help their kids and teens thrive. I am passionate about working with kids and teens to help them feel more successful in their day to day lives.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2006, and am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the APA Division for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. I completed my clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital. I have extensive training and experience in treating a range of issues, including ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, adjustment disorders, and providing parent training. I also provide psychological assessments to diagnose ADHD, learning disorders, and cognitive/IQ. I am passionate about helping parents feel confident on their parenting journey, and helping kids and teens learn the skills to manage whatever challenges they may have. Life can be hard - I love to work together to help your children and teens overcome emotional and behavioral challenges, empowering them to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have experience treating individuals across the lifespan and of diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. I believe that everyone deserves mental health treatment that is welcoming and supportive for them. We are all different and that is what makes us special - that acceptance needs to be an integral part of developing the therapeutic framework.
