About My Clients
My passion is helping the LGBTQIA+ community to find satisfaction in their life. Including setting boundaries and exploring traumas as needed. I also have experienced leaving a multi level marketing company and would love to work with individuals who are leaving these toxic environments and find themselves wondering how they can move forward. I enjoy working with young adults to address anxiety, depression, past and current traumas and relationship difficulties.
My Background and Approach
I started my career working in an adolescent residential program and have continued working with adolescent, children and adults throughout my career. I worked with children and families doing in home therapy and then transitioned to working with adults in outpatient therapy. I utilize a person centered, strength-based approach and incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed approach and mindfulness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should feel like a safe place to explore your ideas and grow as a person. You should feel comforable enough to both laugh and cry in your sessions with your therapist. I support the LGBTQIA community and believe that Black Lives Matter. I am also an advocate in the anti mlm community (anti multilevel marketing) and have a podcast deficated to helping educate people on how being in these companies can effect your mental health. The podcast is called From Huns To Humans.
