About My Clients
It is an honor and privilege to be invited into my client’s lives to help support them. I believe that every person has worth, and I am passionate about helping people live well. I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan. My focus areas are palliative medicine, chronic or sudden illness, end of life, anxiety, depression, dementia, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, stress, adoption issues, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
My approach to treatment is holistic and individualized. There is not a “one size fits all” approach to treatment. Just as individuals are dynamic and complex, treatment should be specific to meet the needs of each person. I use the following modalities in my practice: strengths-based therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, trauma informed approach, and behavior therapy. My clients and I collaborate to identify treatment goals. I respect that my clients know what will and will not work for them. Creating realistic concrete goals that set my clients up for success is the supportive role that I take when we are identifying goals. I believe in celebrating all progress and recognize that change takes time.
