About My Clients
Do you ever feel like you’re doing all the right things but still feel stuck or disconnected from yourself? Maybe self-doubt or anxious thoughts keep getting in the way of the life you want. You don’t have to face it alone. In therapy, we’ll explore what’s happening, notice patterns that get in the way, and find practical ways to feel more grounded and confident. I bring curiosity, care, and a touch of humor, creating a space where you can be yourself and grow.
My Background and Approach
Hi, I’m Daniela, a licensed clinical social worker with over 12 years of experience. I’ve worked in nonprofit settings as a clinical social worker supporting low-income adults with cognitive disabilities, and as a mental health therapist helping people across the lifespan navigate trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, intimate partner violence, major life transitions, dating, relationships, and more. I also have experience working with college and graduate students and LGBTQ+ clients. For over five years, I’ve been a therapist in private practice. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based methods like CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. Together, we’ll uncover patterns that keep you stuck and build tools to help you feel calmer, more confident, and in control.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is always possible, no matter where you’re starting from. We all carry stories, patterns, and beliefs that once helped us survive but may now hold us back. In therapy, we can gently uncover these patterns and replace them with healthier, more compassionate ways of being. I’ve seen incredible growth in people who thought change wasn’t possible, and I deeply believe therapy can help you reconnect with your authentic self. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it’s shaped by our communities and the systems around us—so I practice from an anti-oppression and trauma-informed perspective. When I’m not in session, I love spending time in nature, doing yoga, enjoying good food, going to concerts, art walks, and trivia, and being part of my community—these are the things that help me feel grounded.
