About My Clients
I specialize in helping people who have been struggling with depression for an extended period of time and who are feeling stuck. I also enjoy working with people who have social anxiety and internet/video game addiction. I offer play therapy for children, couples/marriage counseling and family Therapy as well. My Background and Approach
I have experience with a wide variety of clients and I use an integrated approach where I take the best and most helpful components of multiple counseling theories. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, psychodynamic theory and others. I also am an experienced play therapist and I offer some portion of my availability to working with children and teens.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the internal capacity to grow and change but that sometimes people can get stuck, sort if like a tangled rope. I think that therapy can help clients to unravel these knots so thay they can continue to grow in a positive direction. I am supportive of all people regardless of their race, sexuality, gender identity, background, or spiritual beliefs. I believe that every person has a valuable story to tell and that we should never stop listening and learning from one another in life.
