About My Clients
I work with adults, couples, and families who feel stuck in repeating conflict, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, addiction, or recovery-related strain. You may want help repairing trust, communicating more clearly, or making changes that hold up outside the counseling room. Faith-based counseling is available on request and is never forced; people of all backgrounds are welcome.
My Background and Approach
I am Daniel Shepherd, APC, a Georgia Associate Professional Counselor (APC011417). I provide counseling through Stepping Stones Counseling under clinical supervision with Angie Smith, M.Ed, LPC, CPCS. My style is direct, calm, practical, and never shaming. Sessions focus on understanding what is happening, lowering the intensity around it, and building small, realistic changes you can use between appointments. My work includes individual therapy, marriage and relationship counseling, and addiction and recovery counseling for clients in Clarkesville, Habersham County, and the broader North Georgia area. I am currently accepting new clients.
