About My Clients

My experience ranges from community mental health, primary care, hospital settings, and university counseling centers. With this robust experience, I tailor my work to the needs of each individual, recognizing that one-size-fits-all approach is not an effective strategy to support my clients in their growth and change process. Clients can expect me to be an active participant in our work. Not the stereotypical therapist who simply nods, parrots back, and asks the occasional question.

My Background and Approach

I am a first-generation college student who has 7 years of experience working in university counseling centers both state and private universities. I take an integrative, holistic approach to therapy, blending cognitive-behavioral, relational, and psychodynamic methods to fit your unique background and goals. Together, we’ll explore how your daily life is shaped by your cognitive, emotional, and relational patterns, while honoring your intersectional identity and lived experiences. I specialize in supporting university students and young adults navigating identity formation, LGBTQ+ experiences, trauma, neurodiversity, interpersonal concerns, anxiety, and depression. Progress starts with a great fit. As an active and collaborative therapist, I don’t just passively listen—I engage with you in real time, offering feedback, observations, and insights to help you build self-awareness and create meaningful change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the potential to thrive—provided their fundamental physical, social, and environmental needs are met. As I often share with clients, human beings simply aren't meant to do life completely alone; we all need meaningful community, whether we lean introverted, extroverted, or ambiverted. As a queer-identified psychologist, I know firsthand how vital a supportive environment is for self-acceptance and belonging. That lived experience shapes my commitment to leaving a warm, validating impact on everyone I interact with. Whether you identify as LGBTQ+, come from a different cultural background, or hold distinct physical abilities, my priority is to honor your inherent dignity through curiosity, openness, and genuine connection.
