About My Clients
My clients are thoughtful and self-aware people who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may be struggling with OCD, ADHD, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, or the impact of growing up in environments where they didn't feel fully seen or understood. Many are LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or navigating major life transitions. My clients are motivated for change and are looking for a therapist who can balance warmth, authenticity, and practical tools for growth.
My Background and Approach
I would describe my approach as warm, relational, and down-to-earth. I am trained in a number of evidence-based practices, which I tailor to each client's unique needs. My work draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also informed by principles of harm reduction, Internal Family Systems (IFS), culturally responsive psychotherapy, and relational therapy. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel both supported and challenged—a space where we can explore difficult experiences while also building practical tools for moving forward. Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic relationship grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and respect. I don't believe you need to be "fixed." Instead, I see therapy as an opportunity to reconnect with your strengths, deepen your self-understanding, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a proud bisexual trans man and an active member of the LGBTQ+ community. Outside of my therapy practice, I organize community events in Marin County that help queer and trans people build meaningful connections with one another. I believe that healing happens not only in therapy, but also through friendship, community, joy, play, and belonging. I am especially passionate about issues affecting transgender people, bisexual visibility, and reducing stigma around sex work and substance use. My values are rooted in authenticity, curiosity, compassion, and harm reduction. I believe people deserve the freedom to define their own lives, relationships, identities, and paths to healing. When I'm not working, you'll often find me spending time in nature, horseback riding, writing, singing, or caring for my animal family. I share my home with a dog, two cats, and a snake, and I have been a lifelong advocate for animals and their well-being.
