I am prepared to address a wide range of mental health issues including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, psychosis, and addictions.
My Background and Approach
I have over five years experience as a nurse practitioner and many more working in the the field of psychology. This includes experience in residential OCD programming at McLean Hospital, two years of addiction psychiatry at all levels of care, and three years in residential and acute psychiatric care. I take a collaborative evidence-based approach to psychiatric medication management, meaning that I will apply the most up to date information based on research studies to develop a treatment plan that is right for you. Often there are multiple choices in medications that we can use and we will work collaboratively to identify which is best for you. We will consider your goals for treatment, overall health and use of other medications, your lifestyle and values in making treatment decisions. I spend time with my clients. It is my intent that you will feel heard, supported, and well cared for when you come to Manzanita Mind.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves access to quality, attentive, and safe psychiatric care no matter their race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identify. In an effort to live and practice by these values, I work part time in underserved settings when not operating my private practice. Additionally, I offer sliding scale options and insurance reimbursement in my private pay practice. Manzanita Mind will welcome anyone in our door and give them the time, attention, and care that they deserve in a psychiatric provider.
