About My Clients
I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults and adults using an empathetic, relatable, and humorous approach. I ampassionate about making sure therapy works –for you– and you will notice this in practice from session one. As a patient, or parent of a patient, you will experience: a sense of comfort and safety to speak openly, a shared sense of optimism guided by high-quality data-driven decision making, and a clarity about measurable treatment goals.
My Background and Approach
I received my bachelor’s degree in therapeutic and community psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University and my master’s and doctoral degrees from Bowling Green State University in clinical psychology with an emphasis in clinical child psychology. I completed my doctoral internship at Western Youth Services, a community mental health agency in Orange County, California, and advanced postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Orange County. I have published multiple peer-reviewed articles, presented at national conferences, and write for Psychology Today.
