About My Clients
I am especially passionate about working with teens and young adults who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like they’ve lost their sense of purpose. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply trying to figure out your direction in life, I aim to help you reconnect with your values and move toward a meaningful and authentic life.
My Background and Approach
I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach and draw from evidence-based practices such as ACT and CBT. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, where we work together to help you grow, heal, and create lasting change. I obtained my Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I also have 2 years of experience working as a Crisis Counselor for the 988 Crisis and Suicide Hotline.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person has inherent worth and the capacity to build a meaningful life, even in the midst of pain, uncertainty, or past trauma. My approach is grounded in helping people move toward what matters most to them, rather than waiting for their thoughts or emotions to “fix themselves” first. I value authenticity, respect, and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. I don’t see clients as problems to be solved, but as individuals navigating difficult circumstances with the tools they’ve had available. Together, we work to develop new ways of responding to challenges that align with their values and goals. I respect and honor each client’s personal beliefs, background, and identity. While I come from a faith background, I do not impose my beliefs in therapy. If spirituality is important to a client, I’m open to integrating it in a way that feels meaningful and appropriate to them. If it’s not, our work will remain fully grounded in evidence-based approaches.
