My clients are individuals and couples/partners who are looking for sex therapy. Some areas that I am especially passionate about working with are anxiety, depression, life-transitions, self-esteem, gender identity, sexuality, relationship dynamics, ENM/CNM, existential questioning, sexual trauma and chronic pain.
My Background and Approach
I am a sex therapist who specializes working with pelvic pain. I often incorporate mindfulness and somatic (body-focused) exercises as those exercises aid in reducing pain, regulating emotions, fostering a sense of safety in the nervous system and releasing the stress (and trauma) held in the body.
My therapeutic approach is very collaborative. Some styles of therapy I tend to incorporate are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Strength-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Problem Solving therapy and Sex Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer, trauma-informed, sex positive and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I enjoy working together to deconstruct the social scripts, pressures and ‘shoulds’ that often get in the way of our growth, healing and liberation. With that breaking down comes the fun and challenging part of self-discovery, curiosity and imagination - to explore your underlying needs, your values and what excites you.
