About My Clients
As an intern at Authentic Self Psychological Services in Detroit, I work with adults navigating life transitions, relationships, identity exploration, trauma, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to support and empower clients as they reconnect with themselves, offering tools and insights to help create more harmony, clarity, and resilience. If you are ready to take this step, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
My Background and Approach
Healing begins with feeling safe. I believe therapy is meant to offer the safety of being seen, heard, and understood. I aim to create an affirming space that honors the complexity of each person’s identities, values, and lived experiences. My hope is to walk alongside you as you explore what authentic healing can look like for you. I completed a Master's degree in Adlerian psychology, and I am currently completing my second Master's in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University. I am also a registered yoga teacher with training in restorative and trauma-informed practices, which informs how I leverage the mind-body connection to support psychological well-being. My integrative counseling approach is compassionate, holistic, and intersectional. I leverage somatic, insight-oriented, and experiential approaches to support processing experiences, emotion regulation, self-awareness, acceptance, and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Exploring the ways culture, community, social systems, values, beliefs, and identity(ies) shape our stories is also central to my approach. I draw from somatic and mindfulness-based techniques to help people connect with the wisdom of the body, cultivate presence, regulate emotions, and process experiences. I also leverage experiential and insight-oriented approaches to process past experiences and support empowered action.
