About My Clients

I work with people who are high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed or disconnected underneath. Many of my clients carry anxiety, trauma, or identity-related stress while still showing up for everyone else. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ affirming care and offer a space where you don’t have to explain who you are. Together, we slow things down, process what’s there, and help you feel more like yourself again.

My Background and Approach

I hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. I am human first, therapist second. Sometimes that means bringing in humor when it fits, and not taking a rigid or performative approach to therapy. I am also a high school dropout with a checkered past, and I have worked on crisis lines, so you do not have to worry about being too much or overwhelming me. My work is rooted in narrative therapy, which means we look at the stories that have shaped how you see yourself and begin to question what still fits. We get curious about where those stories came from, what they have been protecting, and how they have been carried forward. Together, we start to loosen what no longer fits and create something more honest, more flexible, and more your own.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a transgender and non-binary person, I bring lived experience into this work and hold deep respect for the strength of marginalized and historically silenced voices. I know what it is like to move through systems that do not always see or understand you, and I do not take lightly the trust it takes to show up in therapy. I believe the relationship is the work. Change happens when you feel seen, understood, and able to be honest without needing to perform or explain yourself. I am not a blank slate therapist. I am human, and I show up as one. Sometimes that includes humor, sometimes it means being direct, and sometimes it means sitting with what is uncomfortable without rushing to fix it. I believe you can change, not by becoming someone else, but by becoming more fully yourself.
