About My Clients
I'm passionate about supporting clients through grief, particularly the grief that comes with receiving a life-altering diagnosis and adjusting to a body that no longer works in the same way. I walk alongside those who have experienced medical trauma or gaslighting, often while struggling to access an accurate diagnosis and compassionate care. I pay close attention to how women, AFAB, trans, BIPOC, disabled, and low-income people are disproportionately dismissed and harmed in medical settings.
My Background and Approach
Hi, I’m Dani, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. I specialize in supporting people with disabilities, particularly those who are blind or have low vision, as well as individuals navigating chronic illness. I am a neurodivergent and an LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapist supporting individuals as they explore identity, sexuality, and gender. My social work background began when I interned at a supportive housing facility for low-income older adults, as well as both a domestic violence shelter and a Suboxine clinic, providing mental health services as individuals navigated the legal system. My clinical background started in eating-disorder treatment within residential and partial-hospitalization programs, where I gained experience working with medically complex cases. Over time, I noticed frequent overlap with other concerns such as OCD, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, neurodiversity, and the LGBTQIA2S community.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that differences are not shortcomings but sources of strength and beauty. Still, I also know the world is not always built to honor or include them, which can bring real pain and struggle. I offer a space where all parts of you are seen and valued—a place to find belonging, embrace your uniqueness, and move toward a life that feels true to who you are. Together, we can work on finding your voice and building the confidence to advocate for yourself in systems that may not be welcoming or accessible. I work collaboratively with my clients, tailoring my therapeutic approach to each person’s needs. I utilize a variety of approaches such as behavioral therapies, feminist theory, IFS, ERP, Polyvagal Theory, somatic, and emotion-focused practices. As of September 2025, I am also an EMDR basic-trained therapist and look forward to offering this modality as part of my practice. Above all, I prioritize your voice, accessibility, advocacy, and a trauma-informed approach to therapy.
