About My Clients
Few other transitions are as significant and life altering as the transition into parenthood. In therapy it is my goal to carve a space for you in your life where you are able to slow down, openly discuss the highs and lows of conception, pregnancy, and parenthood, and to focus on your own mental health. I am passionate about supporting parents and offering a space for them to prioritize themselves whether we are processing life challenges, healing trauma, or holding grief.
My Background and Approach
My aim as a counselor is to help process and heal, to support you in developing effective coping tools, building trust in yourself, and helping you to connect with your deepest strengths. I am experienced in working with trauma, grief, in postpartum, and with pregnancy trauma and loss. I am additionally trained in EMDR, a treatment that is used to help facilitate healing from trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In the wake of trauma, I have often seen individuals grieve and bear the burden quietly. It is common during times of greatest trauma that we experience strong emotions we are unable to understand and cope with. However, you do not need to be alone during this time and therapy can offer a space to help you manage feelings of overwhelm.
