About My Clients
I specialize primarily with addiction/recovery, depression, and anxiety. I am passionate about my work, and am eager to work with others that are motivated for their own healing!
My Background and Approach
I have background in many different levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and even inpatient treatment! My goal is to utilize all of the tools. I have learned and continue to learn to help my clients best navigate the stressors they are faced with. I aim to have an open and laid-back approach to best build a relationship with my clients in order to develop a true sense of safety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that every person is worth fighting for and that our past does not have to define us. In regards to addiction, I see past what many see, and acknowledge that there is a heartbeat behind the disease. I also strongly believe in harm reduction – not only for addiction, but also for other things such as self harming or eating disorders. I think it’s very important to meet a client where they are in their own journey. I have previously volunteered with the suicide/crisis text line and have worked very closely with people in peak crisis. It is my true belief that no one deserves to feel alone, or that suicide is the only way out.
