Accepting Clients

I see therapy as a pause in the noise: a place to think, feel, and ask the deeper questions about identity, meaning, and what truly matters.

About My Clients

My clients are often thoughtful, creative, and self-aware, yet feel a sense of disconnection—from themselves, loved ones, or a sense of meaning. Some come with anxiety, relationship struggles, or questions of identity; others simply sense something missing. I work well with those who want more than quick fixes—people drawn to reflection, authenticity, and building deeper connection in their lives.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed psychologist (PsyD, William James College) with a background in existential-humanistic and person-centered therapy. My training emphasized deep listening, respect for the whole person, and attention to the ways culture, identity, and relationships shape experience. I have additional study in men and masculinity, personality theory, and emotion-focused couples therapy. In practice, I draw from existential therapy, humanistic traditions, and relational approaches. This means I see therapy as a collaborative process, centered on understanding your lived experience rather than applying one-size-fits-all techniques. I pay close attention to the present moment—how you experience yourself, your emotions, and your relationships—as a starting point for growth and change. My style is engaged, thoughtful, and reflective. I balance warmth and curiosity with honesty and challenge, offering both support and perspective as you clarify what matters most.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Authenticity, kindness, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment guide both my life and my practice. I believe therapy is most powerful when it honors humanity and connection, rather than being reduced to checklists or insurance metrics. I also advocate for mental health and harm reduction in music communities, where pressures are unique and support is often limited. Outside of my professional role, I’m deeply connected to music and creativity, and I find balance in community building, outdoor adventures, and thrill-seeking. Whether it’s producing a track, hiking a new trail, or chasing that next rush of discovery, I’m drawn to experiences that bring both depth and aliveness. I see therapy in a similar way: an exploration that can feel uncertain at times, but also alive with possibility. This blend of curiosity and courage shapes how I show up—with openness, playfulness, and care. I also value supporting fellow therapists, offering them a space to be fully human.
