About My Clients
I work with children (ages 10+), adolescents, and adults. I most enjoy helping people learn and grow through life transitions and challenges, as well as managing difficulties created by Anxiety and Depression. I validate the experiences of all people, and work to create an affirming and safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community as well as those from diverse cultures.
My Background and Approach
I work from a strengths-based foundation to explore early and current relationships, build coping tools, manage anxiety or depression symptoms, change patterns, and solve problems. I enjoy using art therapy with both children and adults, as well as other creative interventions like yoga/meditation, journaling, or walking therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an ally and advocate for marginalized groups, most focused on women's rights and LGBTQIA+ rights. I am eager to help people find agency in their own lives to create the changes they want to see in their relationships and experiences. I am not a therapist who will tell you all about my own hardships and how that helps me know what's going on for you, since I don't really believe that's true. Your life and your experiences are your own, and I can use my training, insight, and empathy to help you while keeping the focus on you.
