About My Clients
I work with adults and teenagers on issues including addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, and gender dysphoria. My specialties include trauma and substance use/addiction. I am an ally with the LGBTQ+ community and am a gender affirming therapist for teenagers and adults.
My Background and Approach
Since 2002, I have been working with people on many issues as a supportive therapist to help people find their own strength from within. My experience includes addressing trauma/PTSD, substance use/abuse and recovery, anxiety, depression, transgender and gender dysphoria, and LGBTQ+ issues for adolescents and adults as an ally. I am a licensed masters level social worker and a certified addictions therapist. My experience includes in-home therapy, in-office therapy, and telehealth therapy to provide therapy from the comfort of one's own home.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has inner strength to pursue the best life possible. Seeking therapy takes bravery and courage. I am here to help clients I work with to find their strength from within. Together we can change learned behaviors and any unhelpful cognitive distortions. We aren’t born afraid to speak up for ourselves. We aren’t born to be fearful of day to day life. We can work together to replace our negative thoughts, and view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way.
