About My Clients
Does your inner-critic scream when you make a mistake? Do people seem to like you more than you like yourself? Maybe you just feel lost. That's okay. Life can be challenging, but challenging is not impossible. I would like to offer you my support in a space where you can feel free to be who you are, free from the pressure of who you're supposed to be, and free to discover what's important to you. Let's work together to identify the changes you want to make in life so you can work on making them.
My Background and Approach
I enjoy helping children, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed and talk down to themselves. Together, you and I will use the counseling relationship as a model to help you build a new relationship with yourself. In my online practice, I use video games like Minecraft as a tool for play therapy, allowing your child to express themselves without words. Adults are more than welcome to play, too!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
From an early age, I learned that feeling safe meant keeping everyone else happy, often leaving me anxious and questioning whether I was good enough. However, with the support of friends, caretakers, and therapy, I realized I deserved to be happy, too. These relationships taught me I had the resources to be self-compassionate, feel safe in my emotions, and prioritize my needs while fostering their growth. I believe you have the resources, as well. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and believe in your inherent worth as a person. I do not discriminate based on ethnicity, race, nationality, immigration status, religion/spirituality, size, age, socioeconomic status, or physical or mental abilities. If significant differences exist between our cultures or belief systems, I will work to understand them.
