About My Clients

I work with high-performing men — white collar and blue collar alike — who've mastered external success but privately feel anxious, empty, or trapped by their own standards. Perfectionism, imposter syndrome, burnout, and proof-based self-worth that collapses the moment results slip. Whether you're running a business or leading a crew, if you perform at a high level and feel exhausted by it — you're exactly who I work with.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over 21 years of healthcare experience. Before private practice I spent six years in managed care — giving me a clear picture of where the mental health system serves men well and where it falls short. That gap is what drove me to build something different. My approach is grounded in Character Driven Therapy (CDT), an integrative framework I developed specifically for high-performing men. CDT combines psychodynamic and existential depth work with practical strategies from CBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused therapy — unified around one goal: helping men build a stable internal identity that doesn't require constant proof. Sessions are direct, engaged, and built to produce real change — not just insight about change. Licensed across NC, NY, MA, FL, SC, CT, IL, UT, and ID. Fully remote, private pay, $155/session. Superbills available. Free 15-minute consultation to start.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe most men are carrying more than they've ever said out loud — and that saying it, to the right person, changes something fundamental. I know this personally. Before I was a therapist I was a U.S. Marine — trained to suppress what's underneath, project strength, and keep moving regardless of what I was carrying. That orientation served me until it didn't. I believe self-worth was never supposed to be earned. It was supposed to be built from the inside — from values and character, not output and achievement. Most men were never taught that distinction. They learned to perform instead. And performance, however impressive, is an exhausting substitute for actually knowing who you are. I believe therapy works best when it's direct, honest, and grounded in genuine respect for the man across from you. Not coddling. Not clinical distance. Real engagement. The men most resistant to asking for help are often the ones who need it most — and get the most out of it when they finally do.
