About My Clients
My ideal clients are teens and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions. I work best with individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck or burdened by past experiences and are ready to begin healing and making meaningful change. I also support clients facing high levels of distress, including suicidal thoughts, using a safe and stabilizing, trauma-informed approach. My practice is grounded in evidence-based care, especially CBT and strength-based therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in child welfare and outpatient mental health. I specialize in working with teens and adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life stress. My background in child welfare gave me hands-on experience with crisis situations, complex trauma, and supporting families in high-stress environments. My approach is trauma-informed, direct, and solution-focused. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and practical coping skills to help clients understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, and build healthier responses to stress. I focus on giving clients real tools they can use in daily life to manage overwhelming emotions and improve stability. In therapy, we work together to identify what’s driving your distress and develop strategies that create immediate and long-term change. My goal is to help you feel more in control, more grounded, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal values are rooted in compassion, respect, and the belief that every person deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. I approach therapy in a trauma-informed way, meeting clients without judgment and honoring their unique experiences and backgrounds. I value honesty, hope, and practical growth. I believe healing comes from both understanding your story and building real skills that help you manage life more effectively. My goal is to support clients in creating lasting change, not just short-term relief. I also respect and support the role of faith and spirituality for clients who wish to include it in their healing process. I believe it can be a meaningful source of strength and guidance. Overall, I am committed to helping people build resilience, find clarity, and move toward a healthier and more stable life.
