About My Clients
First session is getting to know each other and getting comfortable with vulnerability as you begin to share your life story with me. Although I am provided with some paperwork, I prefer to hear your story directly from you and why you bravely decided to seek therapy. I provide a respectful and genuine environment that fosters openness, safety, and hope. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to trust me to share your life story and give you the tools you need for support.
My Background and Approach
I have a master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from Fresno State and have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2018. I have professional experience in providing short-term and long-term individual counseling to adults, youth and foster youth, and families in both English and Spanish. My experience includes treating those with high acuity mental health needs specifically depressive, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorders. I enjoy teaching and sharing my clinical experience and knowledge with others and have trained new clinicians on mental health assessments and treatment throughout my career as a mentor/supervisor. I currently provide training for certification for eligible staff to write 5150 holds in my home county of Fresno.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Family and chosen family are important to me. I enjoy traveling and learning more about other cultures and love attending multicultural events and trying different foods.
