About My Clients
Are you struggling with childhood stress that continues to impact you today, having challenges in your relationship, or feeling unfulfilled with where you are in life? Mental wellness is a process. Often, life encourages us to put our resources into our outer world from how we look to where we work. As important as this can be, this is often at the expense of investing in our inner world. Let me help empower you to develop your mental wellness and enrich your wellbeing from the inside out.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about promoting healing among people of color and all communities through culturally centered care. My therapeutic style involves creating a warm and supportive environment for you to process life complexities and learn practical skills to progress towards your mental wellness goals. Using evidence based interventions, I will help you cope with stressors personally, relationally, and professionally. We will first meet to understand your mental health needs and co-develop individualized goals. In following sessions, I'll support you in navigating life's complexities with trauma-informed, strength based, and culturally responsive services.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The clinical specialization acquired through my career makes me well-positioned to help guide you on your path of mental wellbeing. I earned my BA at Washington University in St. Louis and completed a PhD in clinical psychology at Loyola University Chicago (LUC). I currently serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry & the Behavioral Sciences in the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
