Do you have trouble navigating through the trauma wounds of your past? Do you have relationship issues that hinder the way you want to deeply connect with others? My goal is to help you explore the areas of your life that is holding you back and help you find balance, wellness, and unlock your authentic self.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, codependency, low self-esteem, racial and ethnic identity issues, relationship struggles, and life transitions. I am trained in trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) to help individuals navigate through their trauma and heal from past wounds. I work from both an attachment theory model and family systems approach to explore your upbringing and patterns of relating. I help clients discover roots of their distorted cognitions and help change the unhealthy cycles and patterns in their life. I am also passionate about assisting those who have experienced faith-related issues or gone through spiritual abuse. I am also able to work with couples as a Prepare/Enrich certified therapist to provide premarital counseling or help you through any relationship struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value creating a safe place in my clinical work to explore issues surrounding culture and diversity for each individual to understand intergenerational family patterns. I value working with immigrant families and people of color, and speak English and conversational Korean. My personal goal is to partner with you on your therapy journey by collaborating together to provide the support you need.
