Congrats on starting your new days! I am here to support your journey towards a balanced lifestyle filled with serenity and compassion.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Dover, NJ
As an adult, as a child, or as an ever changing human; experiencing conflict with the ones you most love is hard. I have tools and interventions that have assisted families for the past 20 years to address their challenges with each other and move towards an ideal family unit that is balanced, safe, and open in their communication.
I am an adoption competent therapist that assists with processing your journey of adoption, for all parents, for children, adults, siblings, and significant others. Exploring attachment, bonding, grief, loss, loyalty, expression and understanding of emotions are a few core adoption challenges that I hold dear to my heart and received specialized training from Rutgers University.
Living in a new country is a journey that can provide many advantages and also disadvantages with regard to mental health, adjustment, and finding one-self. As an immigrant myself, I have lived the struggles of learning a new language, culture, system, and being separated from those important to me. With my professional experience, I have supported many individuals in funding an ideal balance with processing their migration journey, stay, trauma, and decision making skills.
I have received extensive training for the past 18 years in providing therapy through the use of a family-system approach. The behavior of one family member ripples both consciously and unconsciously throughout the whole “family team” thus supporting the entire system (aka team) has been a specialization I practice that has rendered results in effectively stabilizing the family unit.
Experiencing intense situations that cause distress, impairment of your daily tasks or routines is a manageable challenge that with my support and specialized training, along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy interventions, you can begin looking at new days. I’ve been trained in TF-CBT from CARES institute to implement this model with children and their caregivers. I’ve received training from various experts in treating adults with trauma sensitive and awareness practices that nurture coping.
