About My Clients
Do you feel disempowered? Are you struggling with the your relationships or the challenges of life? Learning to navigate our interpersonal relationships, manage difficult emotions, overcome traumas, and life's unexpected events can be daunting. Together I hope to help you heal, find or regain your voice, and work towards your goals. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, empathy, compassion, and the use of gentle challenges to help you work towards self-acceptance, joy, and hope
My Background and Approach
I earned my B.A. in Criminology, Law & Society from The University of California, Irvine and my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Throughout my work experience I have worked with a range of individuals. I began working with victims of sexual assault and abuse— finding my passion in helping individuals who have endured trauma. In this respect, I have a worked as a victim advocate and working along-side battered women shelters. Later on, I began working with young adults who are on the Autism spectrum and co-morbid diagnoses. I learned how to implement ABA therapy and the importance of creative solutions to keep my clients engaged. During my practicum experience in graduate school, I worked with a community center, providing therapy to a wide range of individuals, children, couples, and families. I implement a cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and humanistic approach that empowers individuals and couples alike.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through a humanistic and person-centered approach I hope to create an empowering environment for individuals and couples alike by reframing their perspective and using gentle challenges to encourage growth. I am passionate in creating a supportive environment for my clients to work through the challenges of life together. I take a special interest in working with trauma, inner-child work, couples, and shadow work. By using a holistic approach, I believe that therapy provides an opportunity for a vulnerable experience where individuals can cultivate a healthy self-view. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood— allowing you to be authentic without fear of judgment.
