My Background and Approach
I grew up as an “Army Brat” who went to three different high schools in three years, and am a first-generation college graduate. I draw upon my experiences of transitions, grief & loss, and identity exploration as a man of color in my clinical work with children and their families. I am trained in experiential play therapy and EMDR, but choose to take an interpersonal approach to lessen the stigma and worry that sometimes comes with starting a therapeutic relationship. Outside of work, I will most likely be spending time with my dog, Maya, and my cat, Cinnamon, playing video games, watching anime, or learning about cryptocurrencies and stocks.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the belief that at the core of resilience and self-esteem, there needs to be an authentic self. If you’re searching for a supportive person to help in the exploration of your “true” self, reach out!
