About My Clients
I specialize in trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, anxiety, and depression. I am passionate about supporting folks on their journey to well-being. My commitment to being client-centered means that I prioritize your unique experiences, values, and goals throughout our work together.
My Background and Approach
I have been practicing therapy since 2019. My first therapy job was working at the LGBTQ Center of Orange County, California and loved my experience there. I have worked in a variety of settings including Intensive Outpatient, school based counseling, and working in a private practice with a neurodivergent focus. I specialize with working LGBTQ+ folks, polyamorous folks, and the kink community, and understand the unique experiences and needs of people who identify with these communities. As a white person, I understand I will never truly understand the unique experiences of BIPOC but am always open and willing to learn, and continue to grow alongside my clients. I have taken a DBT-centered training, among other trainings to help with several tools to utilize with clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am understanding and willing to learn from experiences and when provided with new information. I believe everyone is worthy of obtaining mental health services and other basic necessities. As a teenager, I also went to therapy due to anxiety and depressive symptoms, and have been in therapy on and off ever since. I was inspired to become a therapist because of a school counselor who made me feel heard and understood as a misunderstood teen. I am open to feedback and if I ever say something that doesn't land with you or can be considered even offensive, I want my clients to feel comfortable calling me out or having a discussion with me.
