About My Clients
I work primarily with folks who have experienced relational trauma or attachment wounds, those struggling with suicidality or self-harm, and folks seeking more stable and meaningful relationships. Our work will center creativity, intuition, and presence, and will strive toward fostering a sense of self and self-worth, developing ways of coping with difficult experiences and overwhelming emotions that better serve your needs, desires, goals, and values, and in cultivating meaning in daily life.
My Background and Approach
I offer mental health counseling that integrates traditional ‘talk therapy’ with expressive arts therapy and somatic awareness. We draw on both verbal and nonverbal experiences, bringing all parts of the self into conversation to more fully experience life with presence, meaning, and intention. This work holds a focus on intuition, felt experiences, sense of self, meaning, connection, and presence in the here and now, while understanding all of these in the context of both culture and relationships. I use a relational-cultural, attachment-based, trauma-informed lens in therapy with an emphasis on resilience, present-moment awareness, and growth. I incorporate both expressive and somatic (body-based) work into sessions, supported by parts work and mindfulness. My work is rooted in a strong belief in the power and importance of non-verbal communication in addition to talk-based therapy and insight.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Both in and out of the counseling room, I aspire to embody my deeply held values, including: ✴ Agency and empowerment ✴ Exploration and growth ✴ Creativity and insight ✴ Connection and community ✴ Equity and justice
