About My Clients
My work focuses on young adults seeking to understand themselves. We work on strategies to address our unique brains, anxiety, depression, and trauma. We can use existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mood management, or even dream work. I am curious about the intricacies of your mind, finding specific ways to meet your unique needs. As a deep thinker, I help you explore meaning within yourself and the world. If desired, I can help you process your faith through prayer and scripture.
My Background and Approach
At present, I offer virtual therapy through Balanced Life Solutions and Connections Wellness Group. I like working with adolescents, adults of all ages, individuals, couples, and groups. In 2018, I earned a Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University. I have had experiences serving a variety of clients in community clinic, faith-based nonprofit, and virtual private practice settings. Types of people whom I have worked with range from college students, to clients with neurodivergence, to souls in existential crises, to survivors of traumas. I have taken some classes on Biblical counseling and prayer therapy, which guide my work with spiritual clients. My professional experiences inform my practice, while my personal experiences drive my passion. Personally, I have experienced disability, depression, anxiety, grief, and physical, emotional, and spiritual traumas. So, I am very empathic toward those in need, and I thrive on helping them to be resilient.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am adamant about social justice and equality for all, particularly for people with physical and mental disabilities and differences. I believe in understanding, validating, and advocating for those who have been systemically marginalized. My Christian faith is inseparable from who I am, my social justice values, and my heart for helping others. I love to serve clients from all walks of life, and I especially love to address spiritual needs. I believe that God loves us deeply and has made each of us with a valuable and unique purpose. Besides being a counselor, I enjoy doing worship, discipleship, and evangelism on the side. I would be very interested to work with clients who are in ministry and with clients who are recovering from cults or spiritual trauma.
