My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Specialist, an EMDR trained clinician and a CSAT. For nearly 15 years, I have worked in Central Florida helping to open and create programs for substance abuse and behavioral health residential facilities. I have served in every position from a therapist to a Clinical Director. I bring a vast knowledge base and experience, which makes me an effective clinician. I am a trauma trained and informed therapist. I have a deep passion to help those who suffer from addictions in its many forms (drugs, alcohol, sex), co-dependency, grief, depressive and trauma related disorders. My approach to working with clients is a combination of both professional and personal experience which gives me the ability to quickly put my clients at ease and provide the safety for them to learn and grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I also believe that mental health and addictive disorders develop due to a combination of genetics and unhealthy patterns of behaviors that can passed down from generation to generation. I believe it is an honor to be given the opportunity to hold a safe space for you where you can share feelings of guilt, shame, depression, anxiety and/or cause emotional disruption in your life. It would be my honor to help you reimagine a life beyond your wildest dreams.
