I have been working with addiction disorders for the past 8 years. Including working for criminal justice system and Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT). I can help my patients understand Stages of Change and how to work on developing a positive and supportive environment that promotes long term sobriety.

Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy both client and therapist can work together on understanding the effects of a depression in our emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Once client can achieve awareness of those triggers and core beliefs that are related to their depression they can develop different techniques to improve mood and overall wellbeing.

I like focusing on how irrational thoughts and thinking errors contribute to anxiety disorders. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy to identify those errors and gradually substituting them with new thoughts that reduce anxiety levels. I also like introducing to my clients new stress and anxiety management techniques to help reduce tension and achieve body and mind relaxation.

I like utilizing motivational interviewing to assess client's status on the Stages of Change and how committed they are to their recovery process.

During sessions I work with my clients on understanding addiction, accepting the problem, and working on a plan to change or modify problem behaviors related to interpersonal issues, relationship issues, or environmental factors that have been triggering their addiction in order to achieve a positive atmosphere that promotes recovery and long term sobriety.

I found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be one of the most effective therapy practices to understand the complexity of human emotions, thoughts, and behavior and how these interrelate and affect how we see ourselves, others, and the world in general. Sometimes changing thinking errors can affect our reality and improve our approach to challenges and relationships.
