About My Clients

Many of my clients are adults and couples seeking healing from trauma, anxiety, or relationship struggles. Some are survivors of childhood or sexual abuse, while others are facing ministry burnout, marital disconnection, or emotional exhaustion. They often feel caught in painful cycles of hurt or doubt, yet hold a deep desire for renewal—to find emotional healing, restore connection, and experience lasting peace in their relationships and faith journey.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (M.MFT) and EMDR training, I help clients heal from trauma and strengthen relationships through insight, safety, and practical tools. My approach integrates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and systemic principles from General Systems Theory to explore how thoughts, emotions, and relationships are interconnected. Clients often appreciate my balanced mix of compassion and clarity, helping them process painful experiences, interrupt unhealthy patterns, and rebuild emotional connection. My background in leadership and Christian ministry also deepens my understanding of life transitions, identity, and faith-based challenges. Together, we’ll work toward emotional healing, restored connection, and meaningful personal growth.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a Christian and a professional psychotherapist, though I don’t define my work as “Christian counseling.” I honor each client’s spiritual journey and can incorporate faith-based principles when requested. I believe that emotional and spiritual wellness are deeply intertwined, and that therapy can be a sacred process of restoration and renewal. I’ve been happily married to my sweetheart for over 30 years. We’ve raised three amazing adult children—two daughters and a son—and delight in our two grandchildren. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy family time, good coffee, and meaningful conversation. My years in both business leadership and Christian ministry have given me a deep appreciation for people’s resilience and capacity to heal, no matter their starting point. At the heart of my work is a simple truth: people can change, relationships can heal, and hope can be renewed—even after long seasons of pain.
