About My Clients
Do you ever find yourself saying: “Why did I do that ‘self-sabotage’ thing AGAIN?”or, “Logically I guess I'm okay, but I don't FEEL okay!" I help anxious, confused, overwhelmed individuals regain clarity and agency in their lives by exploring and integrating what might be keeping them stuck. Somatic and relational tools are critical to a FELT-sense of wellbeing. Whether you're coping with family dysfunction, narcissistic abuse, chronic illness or life transitions, you have an ally here.
My Background and Approach
Having navigated my own challenges with trauma, relationship dysfunction, stress, and chronic illness, I am passionate about helping others find hope and healing. As a therapist, trauma specialist, and speaker/advocate, I take on a collaborative, multi-faceted approach that incorporates neuroscience, attachment, and trauma-informed resources. When we understand our inner workings, we can move toward a greater sense of hope, joy, and connection. But first, our nervous systems may need to stop detecting threat around every corner. Luckily, neuroplasticity means there's always hope— our brains just might need a "software update." I am not a “blank screen” therapist. I am committed to authentically connecting with you, understanding you, and being “in the trenches with you” when life gets overwhelming. Further, as a biracial media professional who has lived across the globe, I have a unique understanding of the challenges that come with multi-ethnic identity and life transitions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a neurodivergent, multi-racial AAPI woman living with chronic illness, I get how heavy life can be. I believe we can heal and grow if given the appropriate environment. Often, qualities we judge as “character flaws” are the body & brain’s best attempt at keeping us safe. Symptoms are one way the body lets us know something is wrong. You’re not damaged in need of fixing, you may be injured in need of healing. Just as a cut heals with proper care, our psychological wounds can integrate when given the appropriate environment. In a safe therapy space, we address the internal and external obstacles to your wellbeing using a collaborative approach, and the latest neuroscience, attachment, and trauma-informed resources. I draw from tools like Somatic Experiencing (SE), Eye-Movement-Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you reconnect to a sense of hope and mastery.
