My Background and Approach
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Ohio with over 20+ years of clinical experience working with adults and families struggling with a variety of anxiety disorders and stress-related health issues. I obtained my doctorate in psychology from Wright State University in 2008. I have professional experience working as a trauma specialist at a local VA. Most recently, I have been working with patients on how the importance of emotional health supports managing other chronic medical conditions in a primary care setting. I have been in the field of community mental health since 1998.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a passion for helping women battle anxiety and relationship stress that gets in the way of a balanced, sustainable lifestyle. In part, it is driven by my own loss of my mother to cancer and my father to heart disease when they were both 50 years old. Now, a mother myself, I have begun to understand that prioritizing my own health ultimately serves my family and community. There is a myth in our culture that supports women to outsource their energy and power to others which pulls us away from our own path often leading to path-ology. I can help you create a lifestyle map that supports you to realign, refocus, and remember your own authentic path to whole health.
