About My Clients
When my clients first come to me, they often describe themselves as stressed, stagnant, uncertain, or distracted; as if they're stuck on auto-pilot, or unable to see past the daily grind. They're driven, goal-oriented individuals who know that they're destined for something great, and they're not afraid of the challenges that come with their goals; they just can't seem to find contentedness along the journey.
My Background and Approach
My approach isn’t traditional; I know that each individual needs tools and interventions tailored to their unique experiences. Furthermore, I understand that a sense of well-being goes far beyond the thoughts and emotions we may struggle with. I believe in treating the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. I blend evidenced-based western approaches to psychology, including DBT and ACT, with eastern wellness practices such as mindfulness and yoga. I’m a wholehearted, empathetic therapist, but I’m not afraid to challenge my clients if/when needed. Not every client I treat has a life-altering transition, but I’ve witnessed significant shifts in the majority of them while processing trauma and treating depression, anxiety, and panic disorders.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Character: Being a therapist is a privilege that I hold in high regard. Clients share their innermost thoughts with me, allow me to provide them with insight or knowledge, and trust in my guidance. I'm honored to hold this incredible responsibility. Compassion: I strive to be fully present in each of my sessions; to listen with intention; to accept each individual exactly as they are, while also nurturing growth; and to ensure that my clients feel seen, understood, and inspired. Collaboration: I may have experience in the areas that we explore in treatment, but I am by no means an expert at your life. Your thoughts, opinions, and preferences are crucial for successful outcomes. By providing me with feedback, I can personalize my approach to your individual needs.
