About My Clients
I am a therapist with thorough knowledge of the LGBTQ community and the uniqueness that each person brings. I also work with people from other walks of life, both individually as a couple or family unit. I am accepting of each person and will meet them where they are to address the issues being faced in life.
My Background and Approach
I am a fully licensed LPC who has worked in the field for 12 years. I utilize CBT techniques along with reality therapy and other modalities when necessary. I work diligently to help you find ways to deal with the world and the issues that arise from your connection with it. Whether anxiety, depression, loss of a loved one, sexuality issues LGBTQ relationships, Transgender specific issues, etc. we will work together to help you find a way to cope with your individual circumstance. Each year, I attend trainings to learn the best techniques to utilize in the therapeutic relationship and to ensure that you get the best services possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to be treated equally and fairly. I feel that people have a capacity to change if they choose to follow that path. I believe that working on issues from the past can have a drastic impact today and on your life. I do not judge you based on the issues you bring to therapy. Therapy is a time for you to feel comfortable so that you can openly share the problems you are dealing with in life. Sometimes, we just need a guide to help us find our way.
