About My Clients
I work especially well with women who are feeling emotionally torn, overwhelmed, or stuck at a crossroads. My ideal clients are often navigating breakup pain, relationship uncertainty, questions about whether to stay or leave, divorce decisions, anxiety, overthinking, grief, and major life transitions such as college, graduation, or starting a new chapter. My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience helping adults navigate anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, grief, and self-doubt. I'm licensed in Hawaiʻi, Arizona, and Washington, D.C., and my work is grounded in both depth and practicality, which means clients receive thoughtful support as well as concrete help in managing what is happening in their lives right. My specialties include relationship ambivalence, breakup and divorce decisions, anxiety, overthinking, emotional overwhelm, and major transitions such as college, graduation, or starting over. Clients often come to me when they feel stuck between choices, caught in painful patterns, or unsure whether they can trust their own judgment. My experience allows me to help clients not only understand those patterns more clearly, but also build the emotional steadiness and self-trust needed to make meaningful change. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value compassion, honesty, personal responsibility, and treating people with dignity. I believe therapy should be a place where clients feel safe to be fully human, without shame, and where their values, beliefs, and life experience are respected as part of the work. My approach is grounded, relational, and practical, and I care deeply about helping people move toward greater clarity, healing, and peace in their lives. I also believe that meaningful therapy makes room for the deeper questions people carry about relationships, identity, purpose, grief, and change. For clients for whom faith or spirituality is important, I am comfortable making space for that as part of treatment. Above all, I want clients to feel understood, respected, and supported as they work toward lasting change.
