My Background and Approach
Life is full of ups and downs that can be overwhelming at times. While learning to manage and adapt to challenges are important to personal growth, so is having someone walk that journey with you. I base my therapeutic approach around building a solid foundation of trust and acceptance with my clients. We laugh, we cry, we work hard. I value individuality and will encourage first and foremost that you accept “you as you” and not what today’s societal norms tell you what you should or shouldn’t be. My work as a therapist is grounded in my core values of equality, fairness, and deep respect for every person’s lived experience. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I bring both personal understanding and professional commitment to creating a space where clients feel safe, seen, and affirmed exactly as they are. I believe healing happens in environments where power is balanced, voices are honored, and differences are not just accepted but valued. I intentionally incorporate these values by practicing inclusivity, challenging harmful systems or narratives when they arise, and ensuring that each client’s identity, culture, and relationships are approached with curiosity, dignity, and compassion.
