About My Clients
No one deserves to feel alone in their intimate relationship. Committed relationships take work. The vulnerability that happens when you give yourself completely to another person is both scary & beautiful. It takes immense sacrifice to let another person into your world, and when we have expectations that it will be blissful (why wouldn’t we— we’ve been trained to believe in Prince Charming & Happily Ever After), those expectations can quickly turn into disappointment & resentment.
My Background and Approach
The scientifically proven Gottman Method focuses on building trust, communication, healing past disappointments, and increasing positive perspective. We will work on your friendship and bring the intimacy/connection back to better than ever. I can provide tools, such as, CBT, PREPARE/ENRICH assessments, Gottman Method, and EMDR, I can assist couples and individuals to move towards their growth. As a Gottman trained therapist, I have the scientifically proven tools and interventions to lead your relationship from relationship disaster to relationship master. With EMDR, we can process past hurts and directly affect how the brain process a traumatic memory. CBT is proven to help with many presenting problems, including anxiety and depression. With CBT, you will learn to recognize your negative thinking patterns, and how those negative thoughts affect your feelings and your behaviors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion is helping others. Not just helping others be the best version of themselves, but helping others learn how to be the best version of themselves so they can teach future generations. I can understand the courage it takes to delve into the abyss of our present and past hurts. To face the truth head on. To face the conflict within ourselves, of our marriage, to face the hurts of our children/teens, to face the reality of our chaos. It’s scary, it’s heavy- it’s also rewarding and freeing. As a once single mom, and a now wife and mother to 3 children in a blended family, I get it- it's not easy. I believe in moving past the uneasy to have the freedom and peace everyone deserves to have.
