Supporting veterans is deeply personal to me. As someone who comes from a military familyI understand the culture, structure, and unspoken expectations that come with military life. My approach with veterans is rooted in dignity, accountability, and practical support. I understand the importance of structure, direct communication, and goal-oriented work, while also honoring the emotional layers that may be harder to articulate.

My passion for child advocacy is shaped by my work with children and families across educational, clinical, and community settings, as well as my lived experience as a parent. I understand how systems such as schools, courts, and social services can feel overwhelming, and I am committed to helping children and families navigate these systems with clarity, dignity, and care.

In my work, I focus on helping children, adolescents, and adults understand their ADHD in a way that reduces shame and increases self-compassion. Many individuals with ADHD have spent years being misunderstood or labeled as “too much,” “lazy,” or “unfocused.” My goal is to help clients reframe these experiences, build insight, and develop practical tools that work with their brain rather than against it.

In therapy, I help clients identify their attachment patterns, whether anxious, avoidant, secure, or disorganized, and understand how those patterns show up in communication, conflict, trust, and emotional regulation. Often, clients begin to see that their reactions are protective strategies developed earlier in life.

In practice, I help clients identify their triggers, early warning signs, and escalation patterns. We explore how past experiences, stress, trauma, or learned behaviors may influence current reactions. I teach practical tools such as grounding techniques, cognitive reframing, impulse-delay strategies, and communication skills that allow anger to be expressed without harm.

In practice, I help couples slow down their interactions so we can understand what is happening beneath the arguments. Often, beneath frustration is hurt. Beneath anger is fear. Beneath withdrawal is overwhelm. I guide partners in identifying these deeper emotional experiences and expressing them in ways that create connection rather than defensiveness.
