My Background and Approach
I’ve spent over a decade helping individuals, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), blending it with cognitive-behavioral and relational approaches to help clients manage intense emotions, break unhelpful patterns, and build skills like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication with others. I work with people who feel emotions deeply, those struggling with self-harm urges, borderline traits, relationship conflict, or impulsive behaviors, as well as couples and families supporting loved ones with high emotional sensitivity. My approach is collaborative, empathic, and grounded. I meet you where you are, explore the patterns holding you back, and help you respond to life with more balance, clarity, and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are all resilient and capable of adapting to change with the right support. I know this personally, as anxiety and self-doubt have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Through my work as a therapist, life experiences, and my own therapy, I have learned how to accept my emotions without judgment and work with them so I can respond to challenges rather than getting caught up in the problems my mind creates. This has helped me ride the waves of life’s inevitable pain while letting go of unnecessary suffering. I want you to feel that same freedom. My approach is empathic and nonjudgmental. I make sure you feel seen and heard. In our sessions, we work as a team. You bring your knowledge of your life, and I bring my experience and therapeutic tools.
