I specialize in addressing these needs through psychotherapy in the privacy of home. Therapy helps you to recover, regain your perspective, enhance your daily living, and create a fulfilling future.
My Background and Approach
My role is to help you cope with ongoing depression and anxiety; we will work together to help you identify goals, recognize your strengths, and build healthy coping skills to help you to feel better. I have over 25 years of experience working with the aging population and healthcare. I utilize multiple treatment approaches to assist my clients in achieving the best outcomes, including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I currently am able to provide in home therapy services or telehealth, whichever you prefer, for older adults throughout the State of Kansas.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our lives are a continuous journey and our stories are ever evolving. Often people slow down when they reach the later portion of their lives and their perspective regarding self worth can begin to become distorted. I believe there is great value in life review. Depression is perhaps the most under diagnosed and untreated disorder seriously impacting the quality of life in older adults. My goal is to address mental health issues which prevent you or your loved ones from being fully engaged in life. We cannot go back and change the past, but through therapy we can change the ending to our personal stories.
