About My Clients
I work with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who struggle with intergenerational/historical trauma in their relationships and everyday life. These challenges can present as feeling stuck and/or experiencing depression, anxiety & more. I believe that real change can happen by showing up completely through the internal work that focuses on awareness, connection, mindfulness, and community.
My Background and Approach
My aim is to work together towards your journey in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences. Your unique story is approached with the desired goals and changes that can bring balance into your life. I offer a holistic approach along with evidence-based modalities with the perspective of intersections of your identity in mind. This may include aspects of connecting the mind and body in therapy. I welcome feedback as an integral part of the therapeutic relationship. I understand that the person who knows you best - is you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black Latiné (bilingual and bicultural) woman, I believe therapy can be a powerful way to help you delve into the deep, inner work that helps one develop awareness of intergenerational cycles or patterns that may keep you stuck in the past and struggling to thrive in the present. My personal healing journey has and continues to inform the way I show up in order to incorporate and explorative and non-judgment in the therapeutic space. Healing yourself means healing community - congratulations in making the step towards embodying the wholeness and truth of you!
